About Me

Stephen is a Philadelphia-based crossover artist, director, content creator, educator, and producer who has performed extensively in opera and musical theatre both across the country and internationally. He is also the Cofounder and Artistic Director of Cross Keys Theatre Collective, a non profit educational theatre company providing high school age students the keys to Unlocking Their TRUE Potential. In the beginning of 2025 Stephen was commissioned by the East Passyunk Opera Project to conceive, direct and perform in The Wondrous World of Opera, an educational outreach production introducing children to opera. Because of its success this past February, he was asked to expand The Wondrous World of Opera into a 3 part series with the first production premiering in October 2025 titled The Wondrous World of Opera: Finding Your Voice.

As an advocate of new works, he has originated the roles of Stan in Danny and the Rocket by Marella Martin Koch and Casey O’Neil with the Pocono Mountain Music Festival, Jacob Hauser in John Gregor’s Invention of Edison with the Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, the bass of the Whoville Thotties Quartet in the Bearded Ladies Cabaret’s production of Mabeline: The Greenaissance Tour starring Cookie Diorio, and Fridjof Nansen in White Horizon by Lisa Neher with the Helianthus Contemporary Ensemble. Stephen has performed nationally with the Pittsburgh Public Theatre, Bristol Riverside Theatre, Walnut Street Theatre, Opera Philadelphia, Bearded Ladies Cabaret, Philadelphia Orchestra, Lyric Opera of Kansas City, Pittsburgh Opera, Curtis Opera Theatre and internationally with the Lyric-en-mer, festival de Belle-Ile in France and the Florence Voice Seminar in Italy to name a few.

In addition to performing, Stephen is the Manager of Production & Community Events with East Passyunk Opera Project, helping to bring world class musical performances to the local South Philadelphia neighborhoods and beyond. Stephen also works with Camden County Technical Schools in their Performing Arts, Vocal and Instrumental Departments working with students as their director, music director, conductor and coach. He recently has been growing his private voice studio offering lessons and coachings helping students of all a ages develop healthy vocal technique, prepare for upcoming auditions, and learn how to not just sing beautifully but tell a story while doing it.
