Stephen Dagrosa is a Philadelphia-based baritone, director, conductor, and music director whose work bridges the worlds of opera and musical theatre. A passionate storyteller both onstage and in the rehearsal room, he has performed with opera companies and regional theaters across the United States and in Europe while also directing and conducting productions that emphasize musical clarity and emotional connection. As an educator and creator, Stephen is the creator of The Wondrous World of Opera, a 3 part interactive performance series designed to help young audiences discover the emotional language of opera and is the Co-founder & Artistic Director of Cross Keys Theatre Collective and elevated educational theatre company helping students unlock their true potential.

Stephen joins Opera Philadelphia in the WORLD PREMIER of Sleepers Awake an opera by Gregory Spears. A dream-like rendering of the fairy tail “Sleeping Beauty” directed by Jenny Coons under the baton of Corrado Rovaris with performances April 22-26, 2026 at the Academy of Music, Philadelphia, PA.
Stephen will then New Jersey Master Chorale in their spring concert To Glory Rise a collaboration with Mosaic Youth Choir and Philadelphia Orchestra & Friends celebrating the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence on Sunday April 26, 2026 at 7pm at Haddonfield United Methodist Church, NJ.
